The client had a rectangle swimming pool that needed some work after quite a few pool seasons of use. When Penguin Pools arrived at the job, we noticed right away the pool has many patches and was leaking water constantly. When we removed the old vinyl liner, we patched the bottom of the pool with Strong Pool Krete (vermiculite) to ensure a smooth pool bottom. We installed the new Ultra-Seam liner for the pool to fit like a glove!
Installing VGB (Anti-Vortex) Main Drains
Our client also need new main drains put in the swimming pool. Because they had younger children, they decided to upgrade to anti-vortex main drains. The original main drain was buried in over 5” thick of concrete! Penguin Pools had to use a rescue saw to cut it out. Once that was done, we installed the VGB-certified main drains and re-patched the bottom of the pool.
