Pool coping is the aluminum tracking that gets attached to the top of the pool wall and holds the liner. The type of decking around your pool determines which coping Penguin Pools will install. Most pool builders will not give you this option, but we want you to have the decking that appeals to you the most.
Coping comes standard in white, but it can come in a variety of colors by special order.
Bullnose Coping – Concrete Decking
Bullnose coping is the most standard coping as it holds the vinyl liner to the pool while also holding the concrete.
Cantilevered Coping – Cantilevered or Stone Decking
Cantilevered coping is used when you want to have a stone or brick paver around the pool. The coping allows Penguin Pools to hold the liner and have the brick placed directly over the top of the coping / pool.
People who want a cantilevered concrete edge also use this coping so that the concrete finished edge is facing out.
Auto Cover Coping – Auto Cover
Since an auto cover needs to run in the tracking just above the liner, it needs to have its own track.
